I assume you are talking about Trophy Antelope so if you follow the pattern of the last 7 years it has been opening earlier each year:

2013 - Oct 21 - 26
2014 - Oct 20 - 25
2015 - Oct 19 - 24
2016 - Oct 17 - 22
2017 - Oct 16 - 21
2018 - Oct 15 - 20
2019 - Oct 14 - 19

So this year very well could be Oct 12 - 17 or they could jump back to Oct 19 - 24 like it was in 2015 it's anyone's guess, remember we are talking about government employees making these decisions so trying to predict what they will do is a crap shoot at best

Further to that: What is the population like? Looking at taking my tag in 102? Scouting to come soon!

There is a regular pattern.
As the Calendar moves, so do many big game hunting season dates.
This is not unique to Pronghorns.

Areas A,B,C,D and F is the full week (M-F) after the 13th.
Areas E,O and H is the full week (M-) after the 20th.

Typically the Wildlife Act Regulations (available on Canlii.org) are revised in March/April with the new season dates.
Expect to see the 2020 season update just before the draw applications are available.

They pretty much have just run 2 seasons of 6 days each for a number of years now for trophy antelope, they run an early season in September and a later season in October, that's pretty much the way it's been since 2012

The zones that were open Oct 14 - 29 last year were
108
104.106,112
102, 118
128, 140
116, 119, 124, 148

The zones that were open Sept 23 - 28 last year were
138,142, 144
150,151, 152
160, 162, 163, 164, 166

I’ve studied this hard myself and I’m almost certain Monday Oct 19th will be opening day.

Don’t forget... no SUNDAY hunting in many of the Antelope zones, guys from other areas get costly fines and court dates each year because of different rules they take for granted.
