Default Rechargeable rangefinder batteries

With the other thread about rangefinders going, it got me to thinking about the last time I charged my rangefinder batteries. It was before the season started for sure. I also only have two, one for me, one for my son. I have been trying to find more rechargeable CR2 batteries but I haven't been having much luck.

I haven't contacted them but I've scoured the website of BatteryWorld and they have CR123, but not CR2.

Anybody else have any leads?

I use a regular Lithium battery in my Leica range finders. Even with heavy use year round, gophers, varmints, big game etc one battery will last 6 or 7 years. They also seem to work much better in very cold weather than the rechargeable ones I have tried. Just my 2 cents worth.

My rangefinder is always inside my jacket so I’m not worried about the cold weather affecting it. I’ve never had an issue with that. Like I said, I already have a couple that have worked very well. There’s no way that I get 7 or 8 years out of a battery for them either. Either I have a very inefficient collection of range finders or I just use them more, not sure. I’m lucky to get two years out of mine. It’s not a huge expense to use a regular lithium, I get that. I just like being able to make sure that their good when I go out. I always do carry spare batteries for everything. Flashlights, ear muffs, rangefinders, etc.
