We were there from Wednesday to Saturday and it was absolutely scorching for a couple of those days. The water was definitely warmer than I've ever felt it and there were scattered dead minnows here and there in the shallows. I'm hoping those had more to do with the scores of swimmers and little kids with little nets playing in the water. Lots of little ones trying to catch the minnows.

On a side note, I've been going there for years and have NEVER seen it that busy there, at least a dozen vehicles at any given time and most were just swimmers or paddle boarders or kayakers. The parking lot was full and there was still a steady stream of vehicles that came down and ended up turning around and leaving as there was no place to park.

As a PSA, don't leave anything valuable unattended there, a couple had their valuables stolen practically from under their noses, some suspicious vehicles coming and going all hours
