Hey there, just wondering if anyone has ever hiked from the sulpher gates staging are to the ptarmigan lake in the willmore? I am thinking about making a trip in there and wondering what kind of distance im looking at?

It’s about 60 or 70 km one way, isn’t it? We planned a trip a while back, but it never panned out. I tried to find the info I collected but no dice - must have been on my old laptop.
If you do get out, I would appreciate (and I am sure so would many) a post describing the trip, etc.
I've been in there a few times and I wouldn't want to do it without horses. Curly Philips cabin site is located along the Jack Pine where you turn off to go in so that's pretty cool. Imagine packing in there in late fall and trapping all winter and snowshoeing out in the spring. Tough trapline
