Default Bull moose injury?

I recently shared this approximately one week old trail cam pic that I got on my land.

One of my buddies blew it up and thinks maybe the right eye got poked out during a fight. So I studied it further and tend to agree with him, and the dark streak under the right eye may be blood/eye matter.

Got another pic from him 3 days ago but it is a left broadside shot, so can't tell.

What do you folks think?...

Sure could be but hard to say for sure. Above are some photos from about 14ish years ago. A friend of mine saw the above two bucks fighting in a slough bottom near my place. That night, a camera captured the image of the bloodied combatant. Poor buggers live a hard life.

Worst one I've seen was a Mule deer buck from the Milk River area.
His left eyeball was intact but completely removed from the eye socket,
dangling from a couple inches of optic nerve.
I wonder to this day if he could still see from that eyeball....

I shot a Spike bull elk with his eye hanging out by a few inches from the optic nerve. Found out why he did not see my draw.

His skull was broken as well... still chasing cow calls.

A blind in one eye moose is quite common. Most probably from bulls fighting, but when cow moose looses an eye probably from running into a sharp tree branch.
