Default Rainbow Lake Area

Hello everyone. I am heading to work in Rainbow Lake and wouldn't mind trying to squeeze in some fishing in the evenings. I know there is a trout pond just out of town and I will give that a shot but curious about the rest of the area. Any pointers appreciated. Thanks

I’ve caught some tank walleye under the bridge between rainbow and high level.
Think it’s the chinchaga that crosses.

Right by assumption where the rivers meet is also a good spot.

I’ve ice fished Bistcho and Thurston lakes but you will need a snowmobile. Biggest our group has caught over the years was 23-1/2lb pike and 9lb walleye and some very big and scary Ling Cod!!!

If you got a 4x4 truck you can drive to the cabins at Bictcho . I did it in a 1 ton service truck one year ,it was like -30 so I did not walk up the river to the lake as I was alone and the sun was going down. Not sure how far the walk would have been. Can any one confirm how far it is to the lake . Is it a block or two.

I spent lots of time in that town many years ago.We used to fish Rainbow Lake almost every day.It is about a 15 or 20 mile drive from town. This was in the summer and we caught lots of small walleye and some big jacks. You should be able to drive to the boat launch and walk out on the ice.
