Default Frenchman Lake

We used to go there 25 years ago, and the water level declined a bit every year, I heard it winterkilled for many years. Has anyone been recently? Has the water come up at all?

Frenchman really went dry. It should be re filling, but just like Missawaii, it will need to be re stocked first with perch and pike to return it to anything meaningful. It may be that a weir could be built to raise the water level, and that could be done on the seasonal creek at Missawawii as well, but I doubt we will ever see such a restocking being done.

Still no fish as far as I know but the water was up significantly when I was out there hunting in October 2021. Didn’t have a chance to check it this past fall.
Hopefully if it stays up higher it will be considered for restocking in the near future.
I had some great days fishing that lake when I was a kid, a shame that it winterkilled…..
