Default Economical chronograph

Looking for advice, just reloading for poops and giggles, 300m right now. Dialing in loads, getting great results, now time to measure speeds. Not looking fo4 the cats meow just to have the best of the best, looking for advice on which system to search for. Thanks

I really like the Magnetospeed, but only have experience with it and the Chrony style. Some say it is the most accurate, but I couldn't tell you for sure. I'm also not shooting thousands of rounds a year, and that might get annoying as I often find it needs to be readjusted after 5-10 rounds. I have never had the Magnetospeed fail to read, where I have had a Chrony fail to.

The Magnetospeed is far superior to the Chrony units, it isn't effected by light conditions, and it is far easier to set up. The Sporter model, is also fairly affordable.

X2 on the magneto speed. I use it for certain stages of load development as well as verifying velocity etc. It affects POI a touch but not enough to botch load development in my experience. I always remove and re zero when complete anyway. Nice not to have to go ahead of the muzzle at a range either to monkey around with a tripod when it’s busy.

For the most part I think the Magnetospeed is the best alternative as far as economy goes .
I have a Labradar simply because I shoot many black powder cartridges and the magnetospeed does not do well with BP.
