Default Slave lake

I haven't been fishing yet this winter and I finally have 2 trips planned to Slave lake this week. Haven't seen much chatter about Slave this year.

Anyone have info on current snow, ice and how fishing has been around Joussard?

Thanks Guys!

I fish the east basin and have no info for Joussard specifically, but the ice is thick enough I'd recommend an extension. As of now there is some snow drifted closer to shore, but further out the ice is pretty windswept with a few bigger drifts. So long as you have a 4x4 and keep an eye on your route you should be good.

Fishing has been fairly good, havent got onto any really hot bites, but I cant recall getting skunked this winter either.

Joussard has the regular trails plowed to shack city. Lots of drifting snow so most people staying on those trails. Fishing ok for walleye and pike.

Only fished during the day Saturday. Wrapped it up at about 4pm. Bite was decent up till that point, sounds like we stopped about the correct time .
