On its own, the one on the right looks big. He has a 21” inside spread and main beams of 29”-30” and gross scored around 175”. What’s impressive is that both bucks are main frame 4x4’s, both make their scores with their beams. Ones long, ones massive. Both cool in their own way though.

A mount that does the story justice, very nice.

Now I think I’ll just give up on deer hunting

It sure adds to the feeling of accomplishment. Getting all the wood and moss for the pedestal from the same woods he lived in is awesome, it adds to the memories. Once things dry up a bit I’ve got a few things I’d like to add.

Thanks guys,

I installed an led light on the top facing up, it’s hard to get a good pic of it with my phone but it’s actually pretty nice in person.

Looks awesome. Any chance you got to see the controversy cat? If it’s even in the country yet

I’m not sure what the controversy cat is?

On a side note, the mount looks better in the morning light

And my dog is still barking at it

I do spend hours looking at the new set up. I’m sure many more hours will be spent the same way

Thanks roper, and everyone else. I’m back at the cabin tonight, I’m looking to find a nice tree for the background, a piece of deadwood for the front and some swamp grass. It’s going to be sweet when I’m done!

I’m in no rush to find the wood, it has to be the right one, and I got thousands to choose from

You worked hard for those and put in your time and these are rewards you get my friend.

Very nice ....... looks great. Your will still be staring at him 50 years from now in your rocking chair telling stories to the grand kids.

Both those deer are amazing.
