Default Women's hunting boots

My wife got drawn for a couple of tags this fall and she needs a new pair of boots. Does anyone have a recommendation for a a good pair of wider(for a women) boots?

I don’t have any experience with them but Hanwag makes a line of women’s boots

You looking for a pac boot type or a hard core hiking hunter type?

Not necessarily a hard core hunting boot, but something insulated and water resistant that she can walk a few km in.

911 tactical in saskatoon had lowa womens boots on for 45% off alittle while ago. Wife absolutely loves hers. Very tough to find decent hunting boots for women I found. Online no problem but she wanted to try them on first which is obviously best.

My daughter really likes the Red Wing hunting boots she has. I think they have different widths too that can be fit to the foot. Not warm enough for November/snow hunting but perfect when there is no snow.

Another vote for Redwing. Take her in to the store and have them fit her. Even if you have to order in the exact boot you need you can try them for fit before buying. My wife and I have used Red Wings for decades, you can get a wide range of insulation for all weather, large variety of widths and virtually all their boots are waterproof.

she has to go and try em, no other way

My wife tried on at least different 20 pairs often saying “this is pretty good” to which I would tell her “no. Pretty good isn’t good enough. It has to be perfect” . We went to campers village, the staff was very helpful. I don’t remember what brand she settled on. Bought mine at track n trail, also a good store.

Hanwag, crispi, asolo make good stuff.

Insulated is key for most women, they don’t usually produce heat like we do even when moving. IMO Minimum 400g but 800 isn’t out of line if you are talking about November. Also make sure she has good medium or heavy wool socks, and is wearing them at the time of trying on boots.
