Default Best time to fish lakers at cold lake?

Hello all, I hope everyone has had a good hard water season so far! I want to surprise my son and take him lake trout fishing for his birthday present and was wondering when to go for the best laker activity at cold lake. I also will be needing to find a guide as well if anyone would be so kind as to recommend someone.

From my experiences they really start getting hot by end of June and continue right through until fall.

Its always good in summer except for mid June . On hot summer days like July the best bite is early morning around 6 am as it starts to slow down around 10:30. How old will your son be and in what month.

If you're looking for a guide or even just local advice, get a hold of Kim at Anglers Bait and Tackle. Wealth of knowledge and just a good dude.

I find all months can be hit or miss days, my best day out was in July between the two of us in 6 hours we caught 38 lakers was just insane.

I would touch base with Matt at weavers bent rods or Kim at anglers bait and tackle!

They will get you on the fish for sure !

Good luck
