Default 2022 Sheep Season In The Books

Well another season has come and gone. It’s been a good year seen lots of Rams and not a whole lot of hunters out this year! Post pics and stories of your year.

No Alberta sheep hunts for me this year but I did chase Ibex and Mouflon in Spain.

Dad and I went out for a week on the opener. The old man is 70 years old and is still able to backpack hunt. I do carry the shared items to slow me down and speed him up . The weather was amazing with only one night of rain that quit as soon as we got up. We glassed the mountains for hours each day, but saw the least amount of sheep we have ever seen in this area.

Love the adventure of sheep hunting. Looking forward to next year.

I have seen the pictures myself and told the tales of both hunts. Both are great sheep and well deserved especially the late season ram.

Ok Twisted Canuck talked me into this. The first Ram I found in July and watched him up until opener. It was my friends turn to pull the trigger as he wanted just one more Ram. He was done hunting by 10 am.

Second Ram found him weekend after the long weekend. Helped a young gentleman get his first.

Now we are talking, Ram Crazy! Thanks for posting!

You should also keep up with your Sheep/Mule/Elk threads that you usually have through out summer and later on. I didn’t see one this year (or the last?). I liked them.

Sounds like a great trip! Hopefully, your old man will be able to come with you the next season and years to come. And hopefully, next year your post will have a pic of a great ram.

Great looking rams!!!

With the Kootenays all moved to LEH this year and a northern trip last year, I didn't get to chase bighorns this season. Hoping I'll draw a tag one day and if not get lucky enough to find another stone ram sometime!!

And the fact that you took a young fellow out and helped him get tht second one…

Speaks to his character as person and outdoorsman.

Thanks for taking another shot at posting Ram. For those of us that enjoy this site for actual outdoor pursuits, it is much appreciated to see pictures of critters rather than bickering about politics and covid!

Congrats on a couple beauties!!

I have never met nor conversed with Ram Crazy, but taking out people on hunts like this, and helping them score on trophies that most of us fat farts only dream of, puts him at the top of the charts. I hope good things come your way, sir.

Outstanding! Can you please post some pics to the thread? I love to see young mentored hunters have success. Congrats!
