Default Quick Moose Question

I may have found the bull I want to harvest (200's zone) he was with 5 cows this evening as it was getting dark, I want to be back in the same spot tomorrow AM to get a better look at him, is it safe to assume he is going to be in the same relative zone? I never spooked them off.

It’s definitely worth a shot and good possibility he is still in the area in my opinion

If you had 5 girlfriends hanging around you, would you booger off?

Pretty much a certainty your bull will still be there with the ladies first thing tomorrow.

Funny the ladies that have my targeted bull only hangout on two quarter sections so hoping it’s just a matter of time.

As mentioned already, he'll be wherever the cows are this morning. Hopefully there's a good food source/browse where you left them last night so they stayed put....

I guess the bull is just like you... Where the ladies are, they'll find you.

Good luck

Well the standing corn will at least provide some cover/security for them overnight.
As mentioned above, how did it go this morning?

In my 20+ years of Hunting I have never had an experience like this. Woke up, seen Moose immediately, see 3 Small bulls fighting one another, then another moose shows up, he tussles a bit, then another 2 Bulls show up, they are all just sort of staring at one another, the Bull I want is in a bad spot so I am standing behind a hay bale watching from about 100 yards away, than a 7th Bull comes out of the corn and joins the fray, the Bull I shoot gives me a good spot as an operator for a gas well shows up on thr other side of the private land. 8:50 the Bull was down, I watched moose from before opening light till I took thr shot. I'm solo so I don't have good pics, but I'll do a write up in a bit

I love prairie moose hunting! I'm building my priority for the same general area and your story gets me stoked. Congratulations to you. This is the update I expected - everyone above was right that bull had no reason to move. Once a moose finds a good location to be a moose it takes a bit of work to get them to leave.

Crappy pictures are definitely better than nothing

From one of my threads from a couple of years ago:

These were about 850 yards away. It started with a cow, then a bull, another bull, etc. in the end 2 cows and 4 bulls. Bulls hung around that spot for a few days and a couple of new ones rolled in as well. One was a cranker! I was hunting elk, but it was sure fun watching them. And listening.
