Default Wainwright primitive weapon this year?

Time for this one again!

Anyone else headed to Wainwright for the primitive season? Any past hunters have any advice or things they wished they did differently?

I’m really looking forward to this one!

It’s such a short period of time..but I wish I would have a couple days in the bow only area.

Last time I was drawn I hiked in a ground blind and a heater and sat there just saw moose while in the blind and saw mule does going to and from…. I setup on a scrape line I found but had no luck with the bow.

I've done the primitive deer season a few times now.
We had the best luck finding areas with good sign, spreading out just enough we can see each other and still hunting the bush into the wind.
Higher vantage points and intercepting worked sometimes too.
Good luck, it's a fun hunt!
