Default Winchester Push Feed Action - Need advice

Have a Winchester push feed short action, 2 pc floor plate.. Currently its barrelled to a Benchmark 1 in 8 twist barrel chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor.

The trigger guard broke on me. Does anyone know where i could buy a replacement for it or what it would cost to replace? Is a repair even possible? it seems like cast steel but could be wrong.

2nd question - what would just the action, trigger guard, floor plate and follower be worth? I may pull the barrel off keep it and sell the action. Don't think its worth much but I have no idea.

You may be able to get someone with a 3D printer to make you a trigger guard if you can’t find one.

I have had a couple of Remington Kwik Klip trigger guards repaired with tig welding. Sand sand them and use High gloss barbecue pant after .

That’s a common spot for them to break. Be sure to have the mag box installed properly and you don’t want to be tightening that middle screw very much. It’s detrimental to accuracy because it can stress the action and it can also cause what happened to you.

mine broke while trying to get into a B&C stock that was suppose to be in-letted for a 2 PC floor-plate. I did't even feel like to put much pressure on it.

I will note the over tightening going forward...I don't want to break another.

Do NOT over tighten the center screws on Winchester 70 or Ruger 77 , you have high potential to break the trigger guards. I put on a little loctite on the screw and barely snug that screw .

I took a look at one for a friend of mine few years back. That screw was torqued down tight enough it was causing light pin strikes and fail to fire 100% of the time.

Crazy how much stress that can add.

Didn't break the trigger guard though. So there's that at least
