Default kuiu, are you still buying?

Just wondering if guys are still buying kuiu gear with the canadian dollar at 75 cents? Between that and getting hit with duty 50% of the time, kuiu has become untouchable for myself. Too bad as it is the best clothing I have used thus far.

So are you still buying?

Here is an option, they have a Canadian dealer and are very reasonably priced.

https://oncagear.com

They had this stuff at the outdoor expo. If I didn't already have enough camo to last me the rest of my life I would seriously consider buying some of this stuff.

Never heard of them.... They do have one thing in common with kuiu though, everything is on back-order!

Decided to use my Sitka forest for another season, couple of holes, but also had issues with a KUIU back ordered jacket and the dollar dropping pushed me away from pulling the trigger

Their North American debut was at the outdoor expo a week or so ago in Stoney Plain. I'm sure they'll experience a bit of growing pains at first, but hopefully they get up and running soon. It really seemed like nice stuff. I like the camo pattern as well.

I have ordered in a pile of Kuiu....all XXL and the jackets in XXXL but the sizing is off. Everything should have been one size larger. I spent around $2500 U.S. Plus customs and duty. If anyone is interested in picking up the works for $1700 CDN let me know....I picked up everything in their catalog except their warm rain jacket and pants. Have multiples on shirts and pants as well as gloves, gators, Nino covers, warm jackets, etc, etc....like I said the works.....let me know.

Getting nailed with duty 100% of the time these days. However I will say the attack pants are worth every penny.

I have also got sick of the crappy dollar and the duty charges. When I saw the Onca Gear in Stony Plain I was super impressed. Seems to be very well made, very comfy, and exceptionally quiet (quieter then Kuiu for sure). I bought the jacket and will be buying pants when the bibs are released. If anyone from Calgary or Central AB wants to check out the Onca Gear in person let me know and you can try on my stuff.

I reached out to the Onca gear folks about back orders time. They are figuring about a months wait time. Which works for me as we are heading out the end of Oct for our Rams. If you have any questions for them you can find them on Twitter. They got back to me really quick, I was impressed. Still waiting on Kuiu to get back to me about back ordered gear. I Have been waiting for a few weeks now.

The insulated jacket is there but on backorder. I bought mine at the show, if you haven't tried one on then make sure you order a full size larger then normal. I wear XL in browning, XXL in UnderArmor and Sitka, and I wear a 3XL in Onca Gear.

Been waiting over a year now for their yukon pants in med. I check in every couple of months and keep getting told that they are on their way. I have looked else where but have not found anything comparable to the yukon line.

A year? That's brutal. I get that they may be the best on the market but they sure haven't help you the last two hunting seasons. Is it common for ppl to wait that long?

It's not like it's going to stop me from going hunting, it's more of a nice to have item...... but the thing that ****es me off is being told month after month that there expecting them any day now.

Now with the Canadian dollar in the tank I can't justify buying it anymore.

Nope. Got enough stuff to get me by for awhile so until the dollar improves I won't be buying any new gear.
