I got the pkg from Michael's the craft store, their light gauge, easy to work with, for some of my w/w I use the weighted brass beads, that you see in the trout fly fishin supplies & components of the larger fishing stores.

Dec 18th Update
Bwackwabbitt & I went out to RR23 looking for big Pike & Burbs, unfortunately, we didn't find any at our first spot. Moved around a bit in the afternoon and found a spot in 6 fow that looked promising, didn't take long and caught a White, seen a fat Burb heading for deeper water and had a 7-8 lb Pike stare at my w/w for a bit then left, then caught another White.
The afternoon was one of those could-a-should-a-would-a days, had lots of action but either lost them or got bitten off. Found a new hot w/w combo, brass with green glass bead, that really got the Whites interested, then a small pike inhaled it, fortunately, had a back-up.
Tomorrow (Friday) Bwackwabbitt said were going back to Brownlows, he has a Perch addiction and needs to get another fix.
Some pics from today .... , enjoy ...

Beauty sunrise over Sylvan!
Honey-hole "X" marks the spot!
Still only 10" ice!
Jack was decked out with bells on but didn't produce!
The only shack on the lake!
Thats all we got!
First white was on copper/yellow but the new hot color today was brass/green!

Tks for the reply ... unfortunately, its a bit of a walk across the lake to your spot, perhaps another time ... will advise how we do tomorrow & update the B-Lows thread accordingly.

Today, Bwackwabbit, and one of his buddies & I went out to try Palm Bay on the south side of the lake near Sunbreaker Cove. We walked out to the area where those two tents were in the previous post. Drilled a few holes, the bottom was sand and some tall but sparse weeds. Got set up and within 1 hour we had 3 Whites and a small Perch. then nothing so we moved around a bit caught a few more fish, then nothing, it was time to go.
No pics today ...
