mine would have too be Brook Trout

Maligne lake is 1hr 45 min away(this will be my 37yr camping there)

in 1979 a gentleman I met fishing told me of 10+ Brook Trout

in June 1984 got into 2 in that range

1st Male Brook Trout 9-11# spawning colors with kype (lost in netting range.. 1 hr fight)

2nd.. June 28... 11 days later female 12#13oz ..after 1 1/2 hours fight

8# line class World Record in the Fresh Water Hall of Fame in Hayward Wis

got my spot booked this year .. n with one of my son's ... special

Love fishing as its always more than just fishing

have a great open water season everyone

David

Great thread guys I'm hoping we can keep it going, I love looking at people's catches. I've caught so many fish that it's almost as satisfying watching others!
This is my sons very first rainbow on a fly rod, and boy did it strip line! we had a blast, he managed to bring it in after 4 runs!
