have to agree with you ken. getting fletcher back to health is priority one. you can waste a lot of energy fighting against the system. beliebe me i know. this month my daughter finnally had surgery to have her tonsils removed (always getting infected). she had to wait SIX years for the surgery.

They finally got results. Fletcher had a UTI that was causing all the problems.

He is clear to go home!

Uterine tract infection.

Glad to hear the little trooper's doing well and can get back to being himself again!

Great news. Now we can look forward to his first posting on the AO Forum in 2028 ?

I wonder why they took so long to check the urine. You would think that putting on one of those little pee-catchers to check for a UTI should have been one of the first things they would have done.

It would have spared you and your family days of grief and uncertainty if they had looked at all possibilities instead of coming right out and saying meningitis. Someone fell down on the job!

But, he is well and your family can sit back and watch him grow, that is what counts.

Great news.

No excuse for the incompetence that your family experienced. It definitely requires follow-up.

It can be a guessing game to diagnose some health issues when the patient can't talk. I know I was more relaxed as a parent once my sons could speak and tell us where it hurt.
Once he recovers maybe time for a family photo to commemorate the successful outcome as Ken dressed up like a doctor and the rest of the family like nurses! Fletcher can just be himself.

YAHOOOOOO

As an aside, how do you confuse a uti with meningitis even on 2 or 3 month old?

So happy to hear that today things are better...i prayed and prayed last night in the hope that good news would come your way today...seems to have helped as i am sure all the prayers that were sent from the many on here had a helping hand in today's good news...Big hugs to you and the family Ken.
