Default Anyone know of any cheap firewood?

Hey guys,
Heading up to long lake for a week, and was just thinking that it would be way cheaper to pick up some firewood on the way up. Anyone know of anything? Doesnt have to be cut up at all. thanks for any info

go to anywhere that new houses are being built and find one that just got framed and load up on nice clean dry 2x4 scraps is what i usually do. if the framers are there just ask if you can pick up some of the cut pieces they will say yes because they have to clean it all up afterwards anyways.

Come to my house out here in Thorsby and take away the tree that we cut down....oh and the neighbour cut one down to. Also go to Leduc truss they have 1 to 3 foot 2x4 they toss out, stuff that is no use to them but it makes good firewood or treestands.

Yea good question, where do you live?

Where you at? I'm working at a garden centre, and we've got a ton of birch that the arborists drop off hidden in the mulch. If you're in Edmonton, PM me and come on by some day around 7 and I can fill up your truck.

Depends where you are, but around here if you find a little saw mill you can get a heaping truck load of log buts for 5 bucks
