Default Rock Lake Trip!

Well my trip to rock lake was quite good for my first time, didn't catch any lakers, even using my little downrigger. We did catch a few nice pike including a 32" 6lb8oz monster. My buddy caught a decent pike on the weekend, as everyone else only caught little hammer handles.

good for you edson. looks like you had some luck even though you didn't get your laker. also looks like the weather co-opperated. see you in the fall.

Nice fish!

How was the wind on the lake?

We also had a great Saturday on Rock, for the first time ever being there, its a nice little lake with great scenery and QUIET which we loved!

We only managed boating 7 pike between 62 and 65cm let all go. No Lakers but not knowing the lake takes a while to figure out it's secrets.

Will try it again though.

Actually spoke to Edson as our boats passed. He was stoked about the 32 incher. Well done!

We got caught with low battery and sudden rain, hail and wind on the far end. Made it to shore for shelter for 1/2 hour. Then rowed back with the little battery power we had left. I don't think I've even been that wet in my life!

Wonderful trip with the two boys though.

Rock Lake has to be one of my Favorite places to camp/fish. Just gorgeous in there. Congrats on the fish. I wish I could get there more often as I've never pulled a laker out either. People do catch them and I think it is knowing the tricks.

I was looking at going out on Sunday but it's a long way for an afternoon trip.

Nice looking lake.
Nice pike too.

Can you get an RV in?
