Anyone have an update on Newell? Hoping to get the boat in the water to fill my walleye tags (never thought I'd be able to do that in March).

Your tags may have expired. Double check, but I believe March 15th was end of season.

anyone have the reports on Mcleod lake at all? Thinking of driving out there this weekend, but don't want to waste the gas and 4 hours if it's no good. Thanks in advance!

Had 20+ inches out around Athabasca today.... The rain pushed us off the lake early today and made it quite treacherous driving down dirt roads with snow turning to slush with all the rain.

I would think everything south of Red deer in the prairie, is likely in the process of opening along the edges, Crawling Valley is open, lots of open and 1/2open ponds around there, stuff along Hwy 9 is breaking on the edges.

Dang! You're right. Glad I asked. That sucks! I guess I'll be pulling out the fly rod and hitting the Bow instead.
