Default Alix area fishing?

has anyone ever fished alix, chain, or even spotted lake? they are listed in the regs but i'm skeptical as to whether they have fish.

Fished Alix Lake years ago when it was stocked with rainbows but not since the pike have taken over. There is a stocked pond just north of Tees and one at Mirror. Tried a couple of small lakes (do not know their names ) in the area with no luck. There is always the Narrows and Buffalo Lake or the Red Deer River.

are there any pike of decent size in alix lake? sounds like buffalo would be the best lake for pike then.

Fished buffalo a few times, never had much luck at all. Tried at the narrows also but the fishing pressure there is unreal.

Fish buffalo a fair bit(mostly hardwater). Should be good the first weekend it opens up(long) but will be busy at the narrows. (lots of party goers camp there) Heard of a couple 20-22 lbers taken out last spring.

I see Mirror Pond and a few others on the stocking report map. Might be worth a try.

I lived on Alix Lake for some time and my parents live there still and theres no fish in the lake except for sticklebacks. Lived on Buffalo Lake for 10 years and always caught fish. Haven't fished Chain for a long time so I couldn't tell you. The Red Deer is probally your best bet. Send me a pm and we can talk.
