Default Shore fishing Calgary area

I haven't fished the Calgary area in a long time and my kids are interested in fishing. Where can we go around Calgary where they can fish from shore but wont lose interest by not catching a thing.

Chestermere is close to Calgary and has lots of small pike. Usually have success with medium sized spoons. 5 of diamonds, daredevil, and silver spoons have worked in the past.

Mclean Pond out by Bragg Creek is usually a pretty good place to take new anglers, Chain Lakes south of Longview is usually a pretty good place too.

Here's a link to the latest fish stocking report - might give you a few more ideas.

Glenmore reservoir has lots of little pike as well. I’ve had much more success there than Chestermere but also depends where you live and what’s closest.
