Sounds like a bit of a strech, sure cannot get that out of my SM but maybe the one you were using was a 4inch auger then it would make more sense.
Doing the math, its actually only 1100" of ice. Jay siemens made a video with the new Ion Alpha where he cut 260 holes in 5" of ice - 1300". So the Jiffy is right in the ballpark with what the new augers are cutting.

I actually have no idea what my 40V SM would cut in a day. I guess I'll have to try that next time I'm out.
