Default Buck Lake

Anyone been to Buck Lake lately? How bad is the algae?

we were there for the long weekend, when we arrived the algae wasn't bad at all, but the last day we were fishing it was over twenty degrees, and literally on the way back to the boat launch from the other side of the lake, the algae started to bloom... so i imagine it's getting alot worse now.

Yes, that does help. I suspected as much. Too bad. Such a nice lake. Will have to wait till next spring I guess. Missed last year too. Thanks again

no problem you can definetely still fish with the algae, but it kinda stinks....

Actually the fishing can be quite good UNDER the blooms as it blocks out the light.

It wasn't too bad yesterday.. Fished in the bay in front of the town launch.. Not sure what the rest of the lake is like however
