HI thinking of heading up to slave this weekend hililards bay ,whats ice like can you drive out to cutbank thanks ,

NO issues at all with access. Its actually really hardpacked, which is surprising for all the rain and warm weather we've had.

You'll have no problems at all, rest assured.

One thing about shacks in areas like cutbank is you have to be mobile because of the structure the fish move depending on light and weather. I have caught lots on top of the drop in 13 fow and on the bottom in 35.

Looks like a great time!

I was pleasantly surprised - the guys this weekend have been getting into some perch, I saw quite a few over 10 inches today.

I met some old friends out there today, so it was nice to catch up, but the fishing just died at about 11:00 am but was a good morning.

Great way to spend a day

Thanks did not make to west side of slave, went to east end the bite was steady even during that wind storm.

SLOW DAY at Slave at the Cutbank area. Very few fish caught by everyone around us. Was hoping to take some walleye home but ends up with only 2 jacks all day that were not legal. Will be trying a perch lake within the next week or 2. Would of been a hard day to keep the boys interested in fishing today IF they had come out with dad but they wanted to go play shinny instead
