Was out Friday overnight and Saturday and there was 18 inches. We drove the trucks on and there were others driving on with 1 tonne trucks and trailers that looked to be set up for the long weekend.

Default Newell Ice thickness

We were on out North of Kinbrook near the South side of island on Friday had 18" ice some white spots showing, but good ice for the most. Had the same, but lots of standing water on Saturday near inlet.

Slow fishing, couldn't find walleye's, heading back out next week!

I was on RHR right beside newell, the ice was 15-18 in but its not strong ice. I could sink my knife into the ice without much force. So the top 8in is soft imo. Driving on right now with 2 going through in the last week is crazy. Stay safe.

I found fishing was pretty decent, ended up with 4 pike (small), couple walleye and a whitefish.
