Default Rage Hypo Broad Heads

Who is using the rage hypodermic heads and how much do you like them? Anyone getting pass throughs on these cut on contact heads? I have a pack of them and am thinking of shooting them this season so any feedback is appreciated! I am also wondering how they fly in comparison to your field points? Last question is, what kind of blood trails do these blades leave behind? The videos tell me that these heads are savage red paint can openers but just wondering what first handers have to say! Thanks for the help!!!

I have yet to harvest an animal with these broadheads but I am geared up with the rage 2 blades for a moose hunt this year. I have shot the practice tip that comes in the package and they shoot bang on with my field tips. I also shot 1 broadhead into my target just to make sure it flew like the practice tip and it did. I have heard mostly good things about these broadheads so here's to hoping.

Good luck!

They work well. From Bear/Elk down to african animals they punch through most things quite well including bone on a zebra/blue wildebeest.

There are some that have bad experiences with them (and all mechanical's for that matter) but the plastic collet system to hold the blades down works well. Given that it is mechanical there is always the potential for issue but I have never had a problem.

I also haven't had a problem with slick tricks or montecs either! LOL

I like grim reapers better just cause its a 3 blade and they fold instead of slide ... I do have set of rage and yet to shoot anything with them, if I do shoot with them it will be a small animal like a coyote or porcupine just to see how well they open....

I say buy a dozen fakedermics and shoot a couple deer and see if its your thing. Ebay. China. Seems like the popular thing to do in US.

Worst advice ever. This I would not do, last thing you need is a faulty broadhead wounding something.

The entrance and exit wound with the two blade is pure devastation. Huge cut in the animal, have killed bear, moose, deer and caribou with them. They fly the same as a field tip. If you hit far back and catch the liver the cutting surface is so big the animal bleeds out quickly. Make sure you have the KE to shoot them.

How do you know anything about their quality sir? Research. Quality control is apparently phenomenal and failures on par with real deal. Just cheaper.
For that matter never shoot any expandable as they may never open either.

What do you know about expandables, you dont shoot them cause they may never open. Rage has product testing and development. Those broad heads are just copied, no testing, no brand to stand behind. I dont want them using the cheapest steel that they can find,or cheap screw. Rage uses reputable steel that they sourced out, i cant let a cheap screw letting go on impact or it being off weight. It is not worth the risk of wounding any animal for 40 bucks. Thats what i know.

My 2014 and 2015 bull elk were both killed with rage hypo's and both were pass throughs .. I watched both elk "pack up camp" within 25 yards of impact
Rage hypos is all I use .

Never had an issue, love them Rage (hence my name) Don't ever buy knock offs. I've made a couple of less than desirable shots and I give rage the credit for nipping those arteries that a standard broadhead wouldn't of reached.
