Hey guys, My wife desperately wants to shoot a fall black bear. I have done a lot of hunting but never black bear. I have all the gear, campers, trailers, blinds, trucks quads etc just not too sure where to go to capitalize on the short amount of time we have to dedicate to bear hunting. We are looking either for someone who knows some good spots and wants to come huntin or even just someone with some advice.. Thanks in advance!!!

I'm a youth hunter looking for someone to accompany me with a firearm.

I have a pickup truck, rifles, bow, shotgun, moose/deer tags, migratory.

Looking to hunt anything and everything legal.

Located in Edmonton but I have no problem driving <3 hours.

Not looking for compensation for gas, just a buddy and some meat in the freezer!

Hello everyone. This is my first post on the hunting side of the forum, though I have been on the fishing side for a few years now. I am a new hunter looking for any new hunting experience.
I live in Montgomery by Bowness in Calgary
I was in the military reserves for 3 years while I was in highschool (12 years ago). So I do have a good respect for firearms safety and I was an ok shot with a rifle. Though I may be out of practice now.
So far I have only been duck + goose hunting once.
I have dropped about 3 grand this year on gear and have tried to get ready for just about everything.
I have done a lot of camping, fishing, ice fishing and hiking in my life, so I am pretty comfortable outdoors. As well I don't mind helping pack out an animal for someone else.
I have a Mossberg 500, A 30-30 with peep sights, and a ruger 10-22.
I still have to make it to the range or do some target practice with the rifles before I hunt with them. I will hopefully get to the range or set up some targets in the woods in the next couple days if I can get away from work.
I am definitely not a tree hugger, but I generally want to learn to hunt with respect for nature and others and find some more hunting partners who have the same attitude.

So if you are looking for some company/help packing an animal send me a message.
Thanks,
Darren.

Just after I made that last post I got a call to fix a furnace for a good customer of mine who has family ranch land. While I was there I inquired if they allowed hunting. Apparently they have 45,000 acres 20 min NW of Calgary.
And I'm invited to hunt it!!!!!!

Default Bueller?

If anyone is hunting deer this weekend in the Edmonton/Sturgeon area (or somewhere within a reasonable distance), Im looking to tag along. If youve already filled your tags, lets fill mine and you can take whatever meat you desire. I have no land access and do not know where to go - just transferred here from Ontario this summer (Military).

Anyone?

Speed,
Devin

I am not trying to be a pessimist or get involved with your business. Just that you mention this ranch has 45000 acres. That is 70 square miles. I am not sure any one rancher has that much land NW of Calgary. It just concerns me someone may be misleading you. If the acreage numbers are true don't get confused by where to go on this vast tract of land.

Default Anyone want to get out and hunt around Red Deer this weekend?

Looking to get out and hunt this weekend. I am looking to hunt grouse or partridge or whatever else I can legally shoot. I have two bird dogs who have been in the kennel all week long time to get out and have some fun. If you are looking for a new hunting buddy drop me a note. Happy shooting!

Looking to hunt for Whitetail 1 day between Tues and Thurs this week (Nov 12-14). Fair warning, I drive a dodge caravan and have no access to a truck or 4wd device. So, I will be parking and walking in order to do my hunting, unless you supply the truck. I do, however, have proven locations. Located in Edmonton, probably looking to go somewhere Drayton Valley - Brazeau dam area.

PM me if interested.

Default Cats!

Very slim chance of finding someone, but I am a flatlander from Saskatchewan and have never hunted cougars. I have been strictly whitetail.

I don't even need to hunt, but to get out and get some pointers from a pro would be great. I live in Calgary and can travel a fair distance. So if anyone wants to split fuel money and any other costs I would be glad to chip in. Very easy going small town 31 year old that needs to get out of the city!

Thanks,

Justin
