Default Sayward

Does anyone know of a fishing charter out of Sayward BC or someone who might know someone in the area who would be willing to take people fishing?

Head 1.5-2 hours north and fish out of either Port McNeill or Port Hardy, or head south and fish out of Campbell River. All 3 places have lots of guides. Sayward/Kelsey Bay used to be a popular place to chase fish, but the guides seem to have moved north/south.

Cheers

Just finished 3 days of awesome fishing at Quatsino Lodge this morning, but they Don't do day charters. Chech out Serengeti Charters on here in the sponsors section, they fish out of Port Hardy and do very well. Both about an hour north of Sayward.

I am assuming you are planning on going salmon fishing? There is also freshwater steelhead guides in the area as well as halibut guides i beleive. Are you willing to drive a bit? An hour away in campbell river there is multiple good guides for salmon that i know of carl of seaJ charters is my favorite. http://www.campbellriverfishingguide...ile/index.html
If you are dead set on fishing sayward. I can talk to my roomates who are both from sayward and i can ask them.

We are looking a buying a place in Sayward and thought we would try fishing there. We fish Campbell River all the time. Yesterday we went up to Turlow from Campbell River, by the time you set your crap traps it takes 2 hours. By going out from Sayward that should be 30 minutes. More time fishing, because time flies when you are down here. Trip is over now, and its time to head home to fish for them small things. After catching 15 to 20 lbs fish going fishing with Dave for 4 lb whites is anti climatic.

Oh fun stuff. Yea if you go talk to the guys at fisherboy or the junction they will be able to point you in the right direction as far as guides go. If you are living in the area i would highly recommend fishing the salmon river. There is some great fishing to be had in there especially at this time of year with all the salmon running.

If you have time to drive a bit further north try Matt at Rugged Point:
