Default Daiwa Regal XiA Reel/Bass Pro Shops Graphite Series Spinning Rod Combo

Picked up one of these http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/st..._SearchResults in a M/H 7' on Saturday. It was 75 bucks CAD. It comes with an extra spool, which is a bonus.

I'm pretty pleased with it so far, and the price point is hard to beat. Caught my first walleye on it, and my second, and my third, and forth, and . . . (is it obvious where I was?). One pike would have been nice. The PCR walleye really are as stupid as everyone says, but I digress.

It is a little long for a really crowded and heaving dock, but the length would be really nice for less crowded locals. I was using 12lb fluorocarbon (prepared for the pike I didn't catch). Little nibbles were easy to detect, and this combo easily wrangled the heavy fighters out of the water.

My only beef with the combo is that the reel has forward drag, and I much prefer rear drag. I guess that is a small price to pay, though, as overall I'm thinking I made a pretty good purchase.
