Common issue from 2011-2012 years was timing chain stretch.

Being the 1st year of the ecopoof it was their most problematic but the previous owners likely had all the updates and recalls completed. Stay on top of maintenance and you should be fine.

Thanks.

Some grudges last for decades and get passed down from generation to generation-trojan horse, give it back.

Thant's the only way you would ever see one in my driveway

Seriously if you take care of it you should get years of use out of it, it's still a ford but it was free, you can afford to spend a few bucks on it if needed.

Timing chains, spark plugs and coil boots, turbo control solenoid, head gaskets, brake vacuum pumps and the odd turbocharger were the common issues.

Enjoy your free truck!

Good score, but the timing chain is an issue, even with the 2013’s. If it goes it’ll be a $2500 touch to have it done but the problem might be finding one as they are in high demand.

You didn't pay a penny more than it is worth.
I hope your luck with Ford is better than mine.

Yyou need to work on your negotiation skills, he would of had to pay me at least $2,000 to take it.

Just kidding, you got an easily resalable vehicle, hard to see a downside to free. Hope it gives you great service.

I know people that are very happy with them but I also know 5 people who've had to do full engine replacements. Now consider there probably more F150 owners than any other single vehicle in my friend group but that still seems like a lot.

Consensus seems to be stay on top of the oil changes.
