I caught a nice snow white Laker early this yr, I've seen light coloured ones before, but not this light. Its also the biggest one I've ever pulled in at this lake. Not a monster by any means, 18", nice one for that lake.
I hadn't been out on the ice fishing in a while, so I made a drill adapter for my auger before we went. Also got to try out a new ice fishing tent and fire pit.
Sweet pictures cool look LT. I’ve never heard of Snow White lake trout. What did it taste like.
No Argo tracks in the snow???
You’re living the dream!

This trout was smoked up with some other, more "normal" looking Lakers. It all turned out good, no real difference. The two lakes we fished on this trip have both Orange and "white" Lakers, but I've never seen one this light. They are usually more of a yellow color.
Interesting. I haven't encountered a white Char, but on the West Coast white Springs are fairly common. Apparently it's a genetics thing, with the majority of them originating from the Columbia River. They utilize the same food source as the red ones and taste the same. Your white Laker was probably unique to that paricular waterbody or perhaps others connected to it. My understanding anyway.
