Default Facebook short video.

Now I understand that FB can have a lot of bogus info - BUT I just watched a short video of a " Alberta Record Pike " being caught. Now I know the AB record title is just to grab attention but they used the jaw clamps to lift it and drop it on the ice then use a scale in the gills to weigh it.

I stopped watching as it was the worst fish handling I have ever seen. If you are members on here post your video and names and let true outdoorsmen witness this and then learn from the comments.

I did not see the video but if he is taking the fish home ,does it really matter how it is handled .

If he is legally keeping it it doesn’t matter

Can’t find the video so I can’t comment too much about it

They do not post if the fish was kept. It is a 10 sec flash video that popped up on FB. A real shame even if they kept it.

This handling happens every day when people buy these lip holders . I am not a fan of them at all .
Some people think its no worse than a hook in its mouth ,but when its out of the water thats lot of weight and normally rips the lips . Could not see if the lips were ripped and did not see any blood coming from the gills .So if it was released i am sure it will survive just like all the other times it was caught and released .
