Question cz 452 rings question

For you guys that have this rimfire in the American version- what rings do you have? Are they 3/8" or 11mm or is there much of a difference? I bought Leupold 3/8" as recommended by my dealer but they don't seem to fit properly. The clamp side seems to tighten up on an angle?? I also need to switch to high rings as well...shoulda listened to the dealer.

if you have the lux model you need 11mm rings.

if you have the american model you need 3/8 rings.

Hmm, you have the american model and you have 3/8 rings... and they are not mounting straight.. hmm... they should!

When I mount my single ring because my scope is too small for two rings I use a 3/8 ring on an 11mm rail and its a tad offset but it does work. I don't do it very often because I like the irons.

A picture would help to describe the offestness

Despite what the CZ site says, and it is notorious for being wrong, some 452s use 3/8 and some use 11mm. The way to know is exactly how you found out, the 3/8ths will tighten and hold fine but the claw tightens on an angle. I never liked the way that looked so use 11mm on one and 3/8th on the other. Guns were bought about two years apart and the newest one needed the 11mm

My 452 American is sporting Millett rings. Apparently (as told by my dealer) the Millett's solve the 11mm vs. 3.8 problem with only one ring.

I'm using the CZ factory rings, they work well when put together with Loc-Tite, yes, the screw that goes thru the base into the ring did loosen off without it on me once.

Default found some..

I ended up at P&D's and bought a pair of Burris high RF rings. They are awesome and lock up tight. They seem to be a much better design than the Leupold RF and they were only $40.

Thanks for the suggestions.
