McKenzie lake in Calgary

My buddy just moved into a house in McKenzie lake in Calgary. He wants to go ice fishing with his kids on the weekend . What's in there? Rainbows I assume?
I have all the gear to catch walleye pike perch etc. but almost no trout knowledge. Anyone fish there? Any tips to start?

Mind if I send you a message at some point this winter? My mom lives in McKenzie Towne. I'll do my best to not rub in the lickin' my Sens gave the Habs last May

Yup. I haven't fished it for a couple yrs but I used mine many times there. I've lived here for 15 yrs so novelty wore off but I think I might start goin again as it was a lot fun and there are some big ones to be caught !!
