Access to McGregor with a small car?

Hey all,

I am thinking about trying my luck at McGregor but need a place with easy car access. Any suggestions on where I can drive to and walk on? I imagine there is a boat launch at the Milo end but wanted to confirm and see if there are other access points that are recommended.

Milo is your best bet. Just west you can park by the boat launch no problem

You can pull off the hgy on the far so. end but it is a bit of a drive. You go east of Vulcan and you will go right by the south end.

Milo end is the best with a car. We drove on at the boat it was safe at 19-20" of good ice and very little snow cover. It is more dangerous on the south end of the parking lot(drift) then the lake. Haha If I were u i would drive about 4km south on the west side on lake. Good luck.

I've fished that lake many times and I didn't know there was access 4 km south of dam. Is there any buildings or land marks I could use as a reference pt from grid road ?

The access is the boat launch and then drive down the west side of the lake 4km south from the launch.
