Looking for some help on fall pike. I live right on the bc broader and only fish trout mostly, I fished pike in the spring a few times and had a blast and was thinking of doing some fall pike fishing on the fly, I live a few hrs from any pike lakes and was wondering if it would be worth the drive to try some fall fishing for them, I catch and release everything and just want some action

Waterton Reservoir, park at the campground and walk the shore towards the rockwall but don't fish from the rocks but parallel, so about 40' from the wall. Can get muddy so be careful. Smelts work but I find that a four inch Mr Twister on a good jighead with a three inch fluoro leader or stainless steel leader works great. they also like the good ol Len Thompson Red and White. Good chance for a big brown or lake trout. If you go with the jighead method, cast and let sink for about 3 Mississippi's . If smelting, make sure to move your bait by bringing in some line every so often, about two turns of your reel.

Own a fly rod and was just running streamers in st Mary's reservoir in the spring and caught a ton, nothing big 4-6lb range, I'm not really looking for the 20lber, would be nice tho, im looking for numbers and the fight, I fish enough trout and looking for some pike action
