I like that they are not glam, shiny, pretty looking knives...they are for functionality. I want a knife that is going to hold an edge, main reason why I am getting him to make me one. He makes these things in small batches.

He has tentatively done up a facebook page to do with his knives called "The Crown & Cutlass Custom Knife Shoppe"
All his knives are made with love, no two alike.
He is also on on this forum under the user name "Runewolf1973"

Super cool knife! Love those period reproductions. There is a guy in the States who has a very long waiting list making that style.
If I may, I'd recommend your friend set up a site. Not everyone is on FB.

I know. He keeps trying to make a few knives so he will have something to show when he has his first table set up at a gun show, but people keep buying his knives up. A website is a ways off for him, he has to make enough knives to make it worthwhile. He works FT as a flour mill controller and has 2 little kids and a wife. It's a miracle for him to have stock on hand as it is. I waited over a year for a knife.

Nice! I've been binge watching "Forged in Fire" on the History Channel. Don't know if your buddy uses a forge to make his knives but I'm liking the process.
