Thanks guys, it certainly was one of the highlights of my hunting career for sure. I’m sure I was in a state of shock for at least 3hrs.

Here’s a couple more pics.

I enjoyed reading the story as much as I enjoyed looking at the pictures.
And I really enjoyed the pictures.
Congratulations.
And thanks for posting about it.

This view shows the mass a bit better.

Crazy. How does an old buck like that taste compared to a younger one, and compared to a doe? I'd be curious to know.

That's the type of deer that score is really irrelevant, and I realize he might still have a huge tape.

The mass on those bases and beams, just unreal.

What a stud.

Congrats!

With the mass and matching eye guards I don’t think there was a buck that would give him a run for the money!

Great read but an even better pic of a true buck of a lifetime. You earned that one.

Pretty awesome that those years of encounters end up with the trophy.
It’ll keep the memories fresh

If I would have shot him when I first told you about him he wouldn’t have been able to spread so many genes, but he would of had 20-40 more inches.

I'd rather have what you have today, then a score sheet.

That is the deer of a lifetime.

I'd rather shoot a deer like that then the Hansen buck, honest to God.

That is a fantastic buck Kurt, congrats on taking him after the long wait. The pic with the 132" rack for comparison is awesome, just a great brute. Amazing mass on it.

Nice buck. Yikes! If you only saw antlers (and no rear-end/rump) it would be difficult to determine whitetail or muley on that one.

Just for reference, because the pictures don’t do this buck justice it’s so much bigger in real life the rack on top is a 132” 4x4 with 4-1/8” bases.

Here is the picture of the buck on the top from the day I shot it.

Here‘s the one on the bottom, the G2 is 4-1/8” around!
