Camels seem to be popular lately. I recently heard that the Suffield military base in Alberta will be transitioning from artillery and soldier training to the global camel crossbreeding program. This is part of the Alberta government's economic diversity plan.
In secret the breeding program has already been experimenting with cross breeding camels with different animals to create a versatile creature that can be used by Canada's new mounted soldier platoons.
Being that camels are a very efficient hot weather open desert animal the program decided they would cross breed the camel with a moose, known for it's abilities to live in a cold weather forested areas with snow. This new hybrid "Cameloose" will be used by all Canadian battalions for soldiers to ride into the front line battles in all conditions and climates.
The Alberta government is created a new hunting opportunity as well. The federal government has agreed to have all excess cameloose to be released on all Alberta's lands. The highly adaptable cameloose will create new hunting opportunities in the southern part of the province and badlands as well as the muskeg and bushland north of Highway 16.
