We fished off of Shaw last weekend, and it was crazy. Walleye were hitting fast and furious; landing one every 10 minutes is a pretty conservative estimate. At times they were on as quick as we could take them off. Most of them were in the 15-19" range, biggest was 22".
Several walleye were also landed on jack lures out on the edge of the weeds, they were taking pretty much everything we dangled in front of them.
This was my 1st Alberta fishing experience, so I didn't know any better, but everybody there that has fished for walleye before said this was some of the best walleye fishing ever.
