Default WMU 437 Sheep draw

So I have a Good friend that is convinced he's going to get drawn for the WMU 437 Sheep tag. He's got like 23 or 24 priority points in this zone.
So what i'm looking for is any pointers or assistance in this zone. Its a once in a lifetime tag due to the high priority points it takes to be drawn.
Please respond to this thread or PM me if your willing to share.
I have heard there's a possible quad trail leading in here as well.
Neither of us have been in there so were looking for a starting point for access.

Thanks and Good Luck to everyone on their draws...

In 23 years of applying you’ve never been there?
There is lots of info online that you can find regarding trails.
Tek has a map so does the government website
Best thing would be to make a few road trips and go do some exploring

If he’s P-24 going into the draw he has a great chance of being drawn. If he’s P-23 going in and the draw applicants are similar to last year he has approximately a 7% chance. Either way good luck, I hope you keep us posted.

If I had to do it again, I'd take the late draw. I was drawn with a 14, times have changed. Several quad accesses actually. Not the honey hole it was once claimed to be. You have to be careful about boundaries there around Cadomin and crossing the raill road track is a no no, it is busy as well

Met a guy out there last year that drew a tag with a P24. He hunted hard , put in a lot of time and effort and never did fold his tag. Said he was going to be picky as he has taken of couple bighorns already. Never did find the one he was looking for nor did he even see a legal ram. This was the late season tag.

A buddy killed a good one in there last year. Went with a guide for a week come out with nothing. Went back by himself for a day trip and killed his Ram.

Bit of luck involved, the rams hang out at the mine and cross the road to join the ewes there, when they feel like it. It's basically a ewe range.

Springer: I shot my full curl ram in 2010 in the early season, I pre-scouted in the summer a few weekends and I went 5 days early prior to opening day, I watched the largest ram I had found the night before opener and was lucky to shoot him opening day. He was a full curl - 36" lamb tipped, high 160's.
Grizzly is right, the area has changed for access and guys I know that have hunted there since, had tough hunts. Scout as much as possible, get away from the easy access quad trails. Some mature rams move in from 438 through the Lafarge Quarry into the legal areas. Mark your way points on your GPS to ensure your legal from the quarry boundary. Hope your friend has a great and successful hunt.

Thanks for the info on this thread . Its great to see Outdoorsmen helping fellow Outdoorsman. Looks like a pocket full of luck will help in either the early or later season...

I wonder if iHunter has the boundaries marked out well? If they don't you can contact them directly via email through the app and maybe request their help with it. Those guys are awesome to deal with. Remember though, ultimately the burden is on the hunter, not the app or anyone else to ensure they are in the right boundaries. Hope he draws and smashes one!
