Default Cabela's scopes

who has one?
what would they compare to as far as glass goes.
they have a good sale on now
when I see store made models I think it must be cheap but I could and have been wrong in the past.
thanks

I have a Covenant, which I think they’re calling the Covenant Tactical. Mine is the SFP, as I made a mistake when I got it and realized it to late, so just be sure of which one you want.
The higher models have the Zero stop but the lower models do not. They are open turret so the zero stop is pretty important in my opinion.

As far as glass goes, they are on point with anything else in the comparable price range. I had mine on a 243, then now on a 22 that I’m setting up for long range.

I have one on a 10/22 ruger I bought used. Wasn't thrilled to see the 10/22 wearing cheap glass - but was fully prepared to replace it, but after using it - I was pleasantly surprised and the gun still wears the Cabela's scope.

Clarity is really good compared to so many of those other cheap junky scopes where you have no variation in eye relief to avoid the black ring in the optics. This scope allows you to move your eye closer or further away and it stays clear for a reasonable amount of "play". It tracks well and no real issues (at least for use on a 22 at those typically short ranges). Overall - Seems OK - like a Bushnell, Tasco or something like that.

I've looked through a bunch of junky off brand scopes that were terrible. This is definitely better than these by a fair margin - I'd wouldn't hesitate to buy/use one on a utility 22 for plinking.

I almost bought one, thought the sale made it a sweet deal except you only have a 1 year warranty.

Not sure at all about the new ones, I know they are no longer made by meopta, but now manufactured in Asia...

But cabelas used to have the cabelas branded "euro instinct" scopes and binos.

Those were made by meopta and where literally a rebranded Zeiss conquest. ( meopta made the conquest for Zeiss) alot if not all of nightforce is also made by meopta. Or using meopta glass.

They were extremely well priced for the amazing glass quality.

If you find the euro Instinct branded one, buy it.
