Default Swift bullets

Would anyone have the latest loading manual from Swift? I am looking for 6.5x55 data using the 130gr Scirocco II. Just wanted to compare to QL predictions.

I think they only published one manual - would be happy to scan the Swedish info and send it to you.

Default 6.5x55

I load that same bullet in my son's T3 with 47gr of RE#22 /Win Brass/Fed mag primer cloverleafs at 100 yards.Don't use this in a 38 or 94 or 96 mauser as it may be a little too strong.

Much appreciated. Gives me a starting point. I also was going to use RL22. Rifle is a Steyr Mannlicher M.

Link to published Alliant data. Lists Sierra bullets of 140 and 142 in the military action but it is at least a good reference.. Even a 120 grain Speer in a modern commercial action lists 46 as max grains. I would drop to 41 grains and work up. 47 is definitely on the hot side with a 130, even in a new model M.

Default RE#22 data

Well in the T3 48gr of RE#22 with 130gr cut .916" with no pressure signs.I also load for him 47gr of RE#22 with 140gr Partitions.Start a couple grains lower and watch for pressure signs along the way.

Default data

A lot of published data was developed in the older military mausers not modern sporters.Hornady data is a classic example very mild.

If you check the Alliant website you will see separate data for Military and new commercial. The commercial loads are a lot more robust.
