If you had that much money, why would you build your house right off a highway.

... On second thought, if you have that much money, I guess you put your house wherever you want.

Hmmm...thanks. Been wondering what the heck it was they have been working on.

I think he's the guy that started the first casino in Edmonton I think. Seems to me he lives right next door, so likely just owned the land and told the boys to get to work.

I say we tax him into the ground. Now lets go get the pitchforks and protest. If there's one thing I can't stand it's people with more than me and people that use deodorant.

Yes, "was" the chap who owned casinos and "circus" equipment (hence the ferris wheel) on the property. He died several months ago. The original house remains, but several years ago, he built a very large house (the one closer to the Hwy) and also started another large building to house his "carriages". You know, the old wooden ones pulled by horses. That was his hobby. Maybe if he had lived longer, that building would have been opened to publicly display the stuff? Guess the executors will be deciding what to do...I think he was in his late sixties. Given the wealth this chap amassed, I'm betting a lot of folks paid their mortgages while working for him...he was also a "philanthropist" who supported inner city school lunch programs as well as other projects.

The big house is a replica of a property he owned in Arizona. He liked it so much, he wanted one here. House is still in the family.
