McKinnon Flats - Bow River

I've read that the road down to the Bow to McKinnon Flats is closed.....is this true? If so, what other access is there? This is my first time there so I'm hoping to get some guidance.

I haven't been down there for years, but I would suggest posting this question in the fly fishing section. There has to be somebody that has floated, to there or by there recently.
