Default Buffalo Lake

I am taking my daughter to some resort on Buffalo Lake this summer, since i don't want to spend a lot of time at the petting zoo or hay rides, etc. I'd rather be fishing, is there fish in there? I sure hope so or its going to be a long vacation...LOL

I went there last year to fish and we did pretty good!
To the left of the boat launch there is a rock point, use spoons there and you'll catch yourself some pike!
Good luck!!!
Brandon

Alberta Redneck,

If it is Ol' McDonalds, and it sounds like it is then you picked right. My kids really enjoyed it there. Lots of grassy areas to play in, pretty nice beach, lots of things for the kids. mine will only fish so much before they are bored.

Anyways a short drive west of ol'Mc is a campground called the Narrows, there is good shore fishing form there, great for kids as they dont have to be able to cast very far. good luck and have a great time with your daughter!

It would be the one at rochon sands. It's on the same road as you use to get to the provincial campsite. It's east of Old Mac's.

Me and two buddys caught about 40 pike in three hours on Friday. The one guy went back with his wife and another guy on Sunday and they caught over 70 pike in about six hours of fishing. Biggest was around 10 pounds. Can't wait to get back out again this Friday. Hopefully the big guys will be biting by then!!!!

Hey Gunnar, did you launch at the Narrows and head up the channel? We did that a few years ago and fished in the bay up from the Narrows and had a blast with top water lures!

Nooooo.

Was camping at Boss Hill. Took the 20k hump across the lake to said boat launch and picked up my buddies. Then headed back to said bay and hammered em. If you don't know the lake be careful. Lots of bottem leg grabbers out there.
